Parrsboro Film Festival
Friday, October 14th – Sunday, October 16th
Parrsboro, Nova Scotia
In 2007, a group of dedicated film lovers began showing films twice a week in the former Presbyterian Church (now home to the Parrsboro Band Association www.thehall.ca) on King Street in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia www.town.parrsboro.ns.ca. We called ourselves “Film for All at The Hall.”
Now, 3½ years later, we are pleased to announce the launching of Atlantic Canada’s newest film festival (www.thehall.ca/parrsboro-film-festival).
The 1st Annual Parrsboro Film Festival will be held in The Hall from Friday, October 14th to Sunday, October 16th and will focus on recently-made films from Atlantic Canada. The program will include two feature films, a silent film with live music, a reception on Friday and a dinner on Saturday (by Bare Bones www.barebonesbistro.com ) … plus a juried selection of short films.
So … if you are film maker from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island or Newfoundland, we would like to hear from you.
