Casting Call for “Decoloured”

CASTING CALL

Now casting for the short film DECOLOURED – Winner of the The RBC Michelle Jackson Emerging Filmmaker Award. The film will be shot on 35mm during the Labour Day weekend and presented at this year’s St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival. DECOLOURED is about Albert, a colour-blind man who can see colour only when he is in the presence of his new friend Amber.

Synopsis: Albert is completely colourblind, but all he wants to see is red. His world is turned upside down when Amber walks into his life and he begins seeing colour

Auditions will take place on Sunday, JULY 18th BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Character Breakdowns:

ALBERT – MALE/ANY ETHNICITY/30S

Albert only sees the world in black and white – literally. This is governed much of who he is; he sees the world without color in every sense of the idea. He is cynical by nature, and always plays by the rules.

AMBER – FEMALE/ ANY ETHNICITY/20s, EARLY 30s

Amber is laid back and happy go lucky, still wowed by the world around her on a daily basis. She’s whimsical and emotional, and people often don’t take her seriously.
