Audition for “Easy, Down Easy”

This message is forwarded on behalf of the Grand Bank Regional Theatre Festival and the Resource Centre for the Arts Theatre Company.

Joanna Pollyanna is a hardscrabble tender hearted gal from the wrong side of the Montreal tracks. She is between 40 and 55, hung out with the likes of Joni Mitchell and Gordon Lightfoot, but a bad moon rising brought her some bad luck and she’s found sanctuary on a mountain top with a disgraced university prof, whom she adores. She’s smart. She’s resourceful.

This supporting role in Gordon Pinsent’s new play Easy, Down Easy requires the actress to spend the summer with the Grand Bank Regional Theatre Festival and includes the St. John’s run at the LSPU HalllJune 14-Aug. 27 and Sept 27-Oct 10, 2010. There will be a four week hiatus – Aug 29-Sept 26, 2010.

This is a co-production between the GBRTF and RCAT, under the auspices of Berni Stapleton and Amy House.

For auditions and inquiries please contact Amy House at 753-4537 or rcat@rca.nf.ca.
