IFTA’s FightForIndependents.org

IFTA’s Members are virtually unable to license their films and programs to television in the United States since the studios, broadcast and cable networks have combined into a few large conglomerates.   These same forces threaten the opportunities for independent programs on the Internet.

We have raised our concerns about the negative effect of media consolidation on the public’s access to independent and diverse programs to Congress and the Federal Communications Commission.  That message now will be renewed to the Obama Administration.

To raise awareness of this vital issue, we have launched a new website: FightForIndependents.org

Here you will find information, videos and a petition to the new FCC.  Please take a look, sign the petition, and pass it along to others who care about independent media! And please check back often for news.

Best regards,
